Biography
A Life Dedicated to
Disability Inclusion
Martin Kilavi is a visionary advocate and founder of Auschidys Disability Africa, leading the charge for disability inclusion across Kenya and beyond. As a father of children with disabilities, Martin combines deep personal insight with strategic leadership — turning family challenges into systemic opportunities that empower thousands of individuals, families, and communities.
Through innovative programmes in inclusive education, skills development, healthcare, and social inclusion, Martin has empowered thousands of people with disabilities to overcome barriers and participate fully in society. He developed the pioneering DIET (Disability Inclusive and Equity Training) curriculum — now the backbone of Auschidys's approach across all five programme pillars.
Martin also serves on the National Inter-Agency Disability Advisory Committee (NIADAC), contributing to national policies that ensure the rights and inclusion of persons with disabilities across Kenya. His work has earned over 15 national and international awards.
